Guidelines for
Screening
- Written permission is secured from
parents for special testing of students.
- At least three assessment items are used
to screen participants for the gifted and talented program.
These may included the following:
- IQ Test
- Torrance tests for Creative Thinking
- Analytical Test
- Achievement/TAAS Tests
- Renzulli Hartman Scale for Rating
Behavioral Characteristics of Superior Students
- SOI (Structure of the Intellect)
- Students products,
performances/portfolio
- Information will be compiled and
recorded on a Minimum Scores Approach profile form.
