Furlough
A furlough, or leave of absence, for any G.E.M.S. student may be requested at any time by the student, the parent(s), or teacher(s). Furlough may be granted for any reason deemed appropriate by the Selection Committee. The length of the furlough will be according to the purpose of the request. The furlough form will be completed and sent to the student's parent(s)' The student will be allowed to reenter the program at the end of the furlough period unless further assessment is deemed necessary.
Reassessment Reassessment is not required for students who are participating in the G.E.M.S program. Students who have been nominated and tested, but did not qualify may be nominated and qualified after one calendar year.
