DNA Day

A Time for Celebration

April 25, 2005

Wow!  This is new!

DNA Day was created to celebrate the discovery of the molecular structure of the DNA molecule.  Watson and Crick first described the structure in April 2, 1953 in a letter to Nature.  In 2003, this scientific holiday was established to mark the 50th anniversary of the article.

The hope of this website is to provide teachers and students a website that will promote having fun in science.  We hope to provide schools with web-based DNA information and a listing of sites that can help increase understand of this remarkable molecule, as well as helping schools develop a celebration for DNA Day.
