Most
of this quest came from watching my Science Club students become so excited
about doing their own DNA Day party.
They had more fun getting ready for the party than anything else they
did all year. They spent hours finding
much of the sites that were used on this quest. They came up with clever food to be served and the projects were
wonderful.
I
did not use extra graphics because I wanted the students to get excited about
finding cool pictures on their own.
I
suggest reading the following books for both teachers and students
The Dark Lady of DNA by Brenda Maddox
The Double Helix be James Watson

I
would like to thank Dr. Karl Mahan for introducing me to this fabulous way to
bring students inside the learning process.
I would also like to thank Dr. Cathy Morton for suggesting Dr. Mahan’s
class to me. Last but not least, thanks
to my kids for being patient with me while I “played” on the computer to create
this quest for my students and for yours.
