Dear Parents and Students, Welcome to New Deal High School! We are excited about partnering with you during this school year. It is our sincerest belief that we have the very best students, the very best teachers, and the very best school. As a faculty and staff, we feel blessed to be part of the New Deal community and to continue the legacy of success the Lions have shared in both academic and extracurricular activities. New Deal High School has enjoyed many successes at both the state and national level over the years as we traditionally earn a high rating from the Texas Education Agency. Most recently, our school received the prestigious “Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Designation” status from the Texas Education Agency as a result of our state-of-the-art curriculum designed to equip New Deal High School students with the necessary skills for college readiness, career readiness, and life readiness for a competitive 21st century marketplace. Our school was recently recognized as a national higher performing high school by the National Center for Educational Achievement and has also been named as one of the best high schools in Texas by Texas Monthly and as one of the best high schools in America by US News and World Report. We look forward to continuing this academic success as our pride continues to show on the South Plains. We have an outstanding faculty and staff – many of whom have presented and participated in national and state-level training on how to best meet the needs of students for the 21st century. Each of these individuals will greatly contribute to the successes we will enjoy this year and look forward to partnering with you and your student. We invite you to call or visit us any time for additional information or further assistance. Together, we are looking forward to a very successful 2011-2012 school year! Our goal is to provide every student with every chance for success every day. We invite you to partner with us in achieving this goal. Sincerely, Dr. Jerry Adams ![]()
